"Take Me To Your Leader" focuses on trend watching in consumer behaviors, marketing, technology, and social media, but is often led astray by its eccentric authors and their love of music, traveling, random thoughts, and pirates.

I watched (and participated in) the two Arcade Fire music videos, and they were fascinating. With the development of new media, I'm surprised this hasn't happened sooner and on a wider scale.

I totally agree that the digital development guy - the one that also plays the bass - should be pushing his creativity into more interactive promotional videos for his band. Artists can engage fans as much thru media as they do on stage. Give them ways to participate, share, borrow, steal... and inspire. Technology deployments do not have to be hard and expensive - the new Monty Python YouTube channel is a good example of leveraging existing platforms to drive awareness of products and sales. See reference links (and a hat tip to Freddie) at http://tinyurl.com/bprkw5 . I believe www.kaltura.com is an easy way to allow fans to build onto existing shared videos. Rock on and offline!
