"Take Me To Your Leader" focuses on trend watching in consumer behaviors, marketing, technology, and social media, but is often led astray by its eccentric authors and their love of music, traveling, random thoughts, and pirates.

I just returned back to the US and A after living in Tokyo the last 7 years, and although I never went to a Cat Cafe, it definitely came up as a "thing to do" on some weekends. (Odaiba as the best one.)

I grew up with dogs and cats in Los Angeles (among other bi/quadruped creatures), but my Japanese girlfriend, now wife, had never owned a pet of any kind growing up in Godzilla land. Figured it would be a good way to show her what she's been missing. ;)

Interesting concept indeed, though i wonder how they treat the "rentals". I must sneak my way into one of these cafes and do some undercover recon. My human is probably behind this. Kitties of the world, UNITE! http://tinyurl.com/6caw5w

japan - intergalactic, paradoxical, crazy, inexplicable, controversial, beautiful, innocent... but never plain. sensory overload. such a "cookie-cutter" culture yet encourages taking risks on new ideas as a matter of survival...counterintuitive, right? i miss the "spaghetti and whiskey" bars!
