"Take Me To Your Leader" focuses on trend watching in consumer behaviors, marketing, technology, and social media, but is often led astray by its eccentric authors and their love of music, traveling, random thoughts, and pirates.

Not Just Insertion of Ads I'm afraid, javascript & any other code supported by the browser or User Agent String Application.

I know, I been on the receiving end of the Ads, "Unavoidable WebPage(s)", CODE & even strong indications of code intended to either alter my Browser Settings or Compromise my PC!

Phorm 2006 -->2007---> 2008 on the Kingston6 RAS!

AND THAT PUTS THESE SYSTEMS ALSO IN THE REALM OF THE "DATA PROTECTION ACT" & I require them to stop trying to compromise my Browsing & or my PC & Personal Data! :( :(

Good article. It is important for people to realise that if this of DPI interception for advertising is not stopped, function creep and many horror scenarios could develop.

One argument I sometimes hear is that if you have nothing to hide why are you concerned? In answer to this I particularly enjoyed Bruce Schneier on Wired: http://www.wired.com/politics/security/commentary/securitymatters/2006/05/70886
